These charts can be printed on standard 8 1/2 X 11 or A4 paper. They can be easily laminated so that auditors or welfare assessors can carry the chart with them to the farm. The charts also contain easy to use pictures for assessing lameness, cow cleanliness, body condition score, and swellings and lesions on the hocks. Any cow that is below a 2 is a serious animal welfare problem. On well managed dairies, 5% or less of the cows will have a lameness (locamotion) score of 3, 4, or 5.
